Talsam, as a concept, is a luxury smart jewelry that acts as a personal communications device for two loved ones.
My role here was to make this connection possible through an app that interacts with that smart jewelry piece.
The setup was to work on an app that would serve as a teaser for a KickStarter campaign, with the goal to fund the initial project for future development.
So the strategy was to work on a concept that would be distinct, aligned with a luxury brand but that would be feasible to implement.

User base
For business purposes, and to make the whole experience more exclusive, only two persons would make a connection and only those would have access to the app.
That helped to clarify who would be our main users.
Buyer
Buys Talsam for someone else
Wearer
Gets the Talsam as a gift
Self-buyer
Buys Talsam for themselves
Journey mapping, wireframes and User-flows
The good old whiteboard is always a good way to kick things off. I started by sorting some content that should be mandatory and also think about the user-flow.
User interface
On-Boarding
When the user opens the app is welcomed by the stars animation presenting the brand.
The On-Boarding is explained in 5 different animations.
Pairing
We use the button in the Talsam to connected it to the app via Bluetooth.
Content
There are four kinds of content to share between users.
